Oral health is an important component in healthy aging and plays a significant role in the quality of life of the elderly. In this talk, we will highlight common oral diseases in the geriatric patients and how multi-disciplinary collaboration can help ensure that the oral health needs of the elderly are adequately addressed. We will also discuss the associations between systemic and oral health and why good oral health is crucial in the general health of the elderly patients.
