1. To recognise the signs and symptoms of depression and differential diagnosis
2. To understand the clinical utility of assessment tools for mental health conditions, i.e. GAF, PHQ-2, PHQ-9
3. To discuss pharmacotherapy and non-pharmacotherapy treatment options for depression
4. To be able to assess a patient's risk for suicide and escalate to appropriate partners
5. To be knowledgeable of the community resources available for management of patients with depression
