Our Services

Neurology

Neurology at AH aims to provide quality care for patients with disorders of the nervous system (for example, the brain and peripheral nerves). We offer a range of diagnostic and treatment services to support inpatient and outpatient care. We also work closely with various allied health professionals and other specialists to provide holistic care for patients.

Services

Diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders

Headache disorders (e.g. migraine, tension-type headache)
Movement disorders (e.g. Parkinson disease and other Parkinsonian disorders, tremor)
Epilepsy and seizure
Ischaemic stroke
Neuromuscular and peripheral nerve disorders (e.g. peripheral neuropathy)

Diagnostic procedures (at the Neurology Diagnostic Laboratory)

Electroencephalography (EEG)
Nerve conduction studies (NCS)
Electromyography (EMG)
Extracranial doppler (ECD) and transcranial doppler (TCD) ultrasonography

Our Team

Currently, inpatient Neurology consultations (referrals) and Neurology diagnostic procedures in AH are supported by the Division of Neurology, Department of Medicine, National University Hospital.
