Biosketch

Dr Yong Woon Chai is a Senior Consultant in the Division of Palliative Care at the National University Cancer Institute, Singapore (NCIS). She is also Head of the Supportive and Palliative Care Programme at Alexandra Hospital, aimed at championing compassionate care and quality of life for patients receiving palliative care.

She has also served as a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at the National University of Singapore (NUS), as well as a Visiting Consultant at St. Luke's Hospital.

Dr Yong has received advanced training in Geriatric Medicine, followed by Palliative Care Medicine and is dually accredited as a Specialist in Geriatric Medicine and Palliative Medicine. She believes in building stronger bonds with various community partners.
