In Alexandra Hospital, we believe in making
our workplace not just productive but also genuinely fun. Here, we celebrate
successes, foster camaraderie and encourage work-life harmony. We promote a workplace that is both a caring and
energetic and an environment that embraces team spirit and personal wellbeing.
The holistic wellbeing of Alexians is important to us. In Alexandra Hospital, our wellbeing initiatives aim to cover the physical, mental and social wellbeing for both Alexians and their families.
To take care of the physical wellbeing of Alexians, we start off with providing annual health screening and immunisations. With the basics secured, Alexians can improve and maintain their healthy lifestyle through our weekly workout classes, sports interest groups, gym facilities and booking of ActiveSG sports facilities. To enhance awareness on physical wellbeing, talks and workshops related to physical health and interventions with active health programmes are available.
Mental wellbeing ensures that our Alexians are happy and filled with positive thoughts. Alexians can seek peer support through our Parachuters or head to our counselling clinic, if needed. Regular mental wellbeing workshops, such as mindfulness sessions and pets related therapy (dogs' therapy through our AH sup-PAW-ters initiative) are organised for Alexians.
Other than taking care of individual's wellbeing, we also need to ensure that there are opportunities for social interactions with one another. In Alexandra Hospital, we care about our staff. We celebrate the festive, and we also prepare regular treats for our Alexians. Throughout the year, we organise lunch time talks and workshops for staff to engage with each other. Celebrations such as Dinner and Dance, Family Day, Nurses Day and Allied Health Day are organised for staff to wind down and enjoy the day with fellow Alexians and/or family members. We also take time to care about our surroundings through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) events such as tree planting, recycling workshop, adopt-a-plant and more!
