We provide care to patients with acute undifferentiated conditions, including medical emergencies 24 hours daily. We collaborate closely with our primary care partners via the GPFirst programme.
Alexandra Hospital is fully equipped to handle medical emergencies and elective specialist surgeries. AH’s UCC provides treatment with relatively shorter waiting times for non-critical conditions, compared to Emergency Departments. AH is staffed by emergency medicine specialists and emergency-trained nurses.
Eligible non-life-threatening cases conveyed by SCDF are received by AH’s UCC from Mondays to Fridays, 8am to 5pm, including public holidays.
UCC charges start from $145.75, after 50% government subsidy. The $145.75 covers doctor consultation, standard X-ray, basic laboratory tests, and standard medication. Additional charges will apply for non-standard services, treatments, and medication.
Payment can be made at the point of registration, reducing the wait time during discharge.
Selected patients can be followed up at the UCC. We provide continuity of care for UCC patients and reduce the need for follow-up at primary care or specialist clinics. URC charges start from $44.30
We provide an extended duration of care to patients up to 24 hours, serving to provide definitive treatment and facilitate a safe discharge back home. EDTU stays are Medisave claimable.
