Alexandra Hospital’s Psychological Medicine department commits to providing an integrated mental health service coverage across all age groups and care settings. This includes a 72-bed Gazetted Psychiatry Ward, which provides acute care to adult patients. Outpatient Psychiatry, which provides generalist-led psychiatry services, and specialized child and adolescent psychiatry services. In addition, the department works closely with schools and community partners through the provision of preventive care and screening for mental health. In addition, programme and services aim towards building mental health capabilities within the community and advocacy of early intervention approaches. These services are underpinned by the excellence in research and education to bring compassionate and quality mental health care to our patients.
