Dr Stephen Hwang is an Associate Consultant in the Division of Colorectal Surgery at the National University Hospital (NUH). He graduated from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2017.
In 2024, he served as Chief Resident of the hospital’s General Surgery Residency Programme and was a participant in the NUHS Residency Leadership Development Programme (RLDP). He obtained his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh in 2025.
Dr Hwang specialises in colorectal surgery, with a strong focus on minimally invasive techniques for the treatment of colorectal cancer. He is also deeply committed to medical education and the training of future healthcare professionals, and currently serves as a Clinical Lecturer under the Clinical Faculty Scheme at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS.
