Dr Samuel Cheong graduated from Monash University and obtained his Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine with Honours in 2018. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency under the National University Health System (NUHS), obtaining Membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians (MRCP, UK) and Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) in 2022. He subsequently completed his Senior Residency in Geriatric Medicine under NUHS and obtained specialist accreditation in Geriatric Medicine from the Specialist Accreditation Board (SAB), Singapore, in 2026.
Dr Cheong is a Geriatric medicine physician with a keen interest in harnessing technology to empower older adults in healthy ageing, promote independence and prevent frailty. His academic interests include cognition, sarcopenia and frailty, with research focused on improving outcomes for older persons. He is also passionate about medical education and is actively involved in the teaching and mentorship of junior doctors.
Through his clinical, research and educational work, he is committed to advancing innovative, evidence-based and person-centred care for his patients.
