Dr. Jasminah Begam Binti Kader Mydin graduated from the University of Malaya with an MBBS in 2009. She obtained the Membership of the College of Emergency Medicine (MCEM) in 2014 and completed her Master of Medicine (Emergency Medicine) at the National University of Singapore in 2018. She has been practising Emergency Medicine in Singapore since 2011 and is fully registered with the Singapore Medical Council.
Dr. Jasminah has worked across multiple tertiary healthcare institutions in Singapore, including Changi General Hospital, National University Hospital, Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, KK Women's and Children's Hospital, and Ng Teng Fong Hospital. Throughout her specialist training, she gained broad clinical experience in Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, General Surgery, Anaesthesia, Intensive Care, Paediatric Emergency Medicine, Respiratory Medicine, Cardiology, Neurology, Orthopaedics, and Palliative Medicine.
Her professional interests include emergency care, trauma, point-of-care ultrasound, medical education, palliative care and quality improvement. She is an Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) Instructor, an instructor for the Alexandra Academy for Clinical & Emergency Sonography (AACES) Basic Course, and a clinical tutor for the Yong Yoo Lin School of Medicine.
Dr. Jasminah has been actively involved in clinical research and quality improvement projects, with presentations at local and international scientific meetings, including EUSEM and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) Forum. Her work has focused on improving emergency department processes, telemedicine and palliative care. She remains committed to advancing patient care through evidence-based practice, education, and continuous quality improvement.
