Dr Eng graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from University of Malaya in 2014. She joined the Psychiatry Residency Programme in 2018, where she rotated through various departments including Institute of Mental Health, National University Hospital, Changi General Hospital and Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. She has obtained her postgraduate psychiatry qualification with the Royal College of Psychiatrist (United Kingdom) and is accredited as a specialist by the Specialist Accreditation Board in 2023.
She believes that a holistic and multidisciplinary approach is essential to patient care. She has interests in Community Psychiatry. Apart from clinical work, Dr Eng also regularly provides teaching and supervision to medical students, specialist trainees as well as general practitioners.
She is also the programme director for G-RACE, a community outreach programme for the elderly living in the western region of Singapore.
