Biosketch

Dr Chong Kar Mun obtained her medical degree from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore in 2019. She was placed on the Dean's List throughout her undergraduate years, from year 1 to year 5.

Upon graduation, she underwent junior residency training in Internal Medicine with the National University Health System (NUHS) and was awarded the Residency Excellence Award in 2022. She attained her Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (United Kingdom) in 2022 and Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) in 2023. Subsequently, she completed Rheumatology senior residency training with NUHS and participated in the prestigious Singapore Chief Residency Programme during her training. She obtained specialist accreditation in Rheumatology and was awarded the Best Exit Trainee Award for Rheumatology in 2026. She is also a clinical tutor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and was awarded the Good Teacher Award from 2023 to 2025. 

Dr Chong has presented her work at international rheumatology conferences and published in various peer-reviewed journals. She hopes to further develop her interest and expertise in musculoskeletal ultrasound in the future.
