Dr Ng Alexander obtained his MBBS at the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and is currently a Consultant in Emergency Medicine Department at National University Hospital (NUH) and the Urgent Care Centre (UCC) at Alexandra Hospital (AH).
He is the Clinical lead for HLIP (High Level Isolation Pathogens) as well as Emerging Infectious Diseases for the Emergency Medicine Department. He is also the director of the Developing Technologies and Innovation division of the Centre for Healthcare Simulation (CHS), NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.
His areas of interest and research include simulation, medical education, medical technology and innovation as well as emergency airway response. As a clinician, he is also actively engaged in pandemic response and operations, clinical education and residency development.
Besides clinical practice, Dr Ng is actively involved in undergraduate education in the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and post-graduate teaching and mentoring of residents in the NUHS Emergency Medicine Residency Programme.
