Dr. Teh Jun Liang is a Senior Consultant General Surgeon with subspecialty expertise in Upper Gastrointestinal (GI) Surgery, Bariatric Surgery, and Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy. He graduated from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, in 2010 and completed specialist training in General Surgery in 2018. He holds a Master of Medicine (Surgery), Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and a Master of Surgery (ChM) from the University of Edinburgh.
After completing fellowship training in Upper GI and Bariatric Surgery at the National University Health System, Singapore, Dr. Teh further advanced his expertise through subspecialty training in Upper GI Surgery and Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy at Prince of Wales Hospital, Hong Kong, under the Healthcare Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) Award.
His clinical interests include Gastroesophageal Cancer Surgery, Bariatric and Metabolic surgery, Minimally Invasive Hernia Surgery, Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), ERCP, Endoscopic Resection of early GI cancers, third-space
Endoscopy, and EUS-guided interventions.
Dr. Teh also serves as Board Member of the Asia Pacific Endo-Laparoscopic Surgery Group (APELS), Scientific Chair of the Obesity & Metabolic Surgery Society of Singapore (OMSSS), and Visiting Consultant at Woodlands Health and Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
