Dr Alicia Loi is an Occupational Medicine physician at Alexandra Hospital, Singapore. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Aberdeen in 2012 and earned a Master in Public Health from the National University of Singapore in 2019. Her expertise in occupational medicine includes fitness-to-work assessments, hazard management at the workplace, management of work-related diseases, and review of work-related health policies.
Dr Loi is passionate about preventive health at the workplace and has led health programmes in a hospital setting, including a health screening programme and an influenza vaccination programme. She has previously conducted a project to improve the recovery of hand dermatitis among healthcare workers and a study to explore the knowledge and concerns of healthcare workers working at an infectious disease unit. Dr Loi has a keen interest in medical education and advocates for stronger recognition of occupational health and safety.
